A letter from the Managing Owner, Tina Williford:

Grape Expectations Wine Imports is privately owned by my husband, Mark Williford, and myself, Tina Williford.  The company was organized to import wines from the Southern Hemisphere & Europe for National Distribution and to distribute wine to both on-premise & off-premise clients in North Carolina. Grape Expectations was founded in 1999 while I was working towards a Master of Wine designation. I am a graduate of the University of Virginia and Wake Forest University and have been passionate about wine since my college days. I have furthered my wine studies at the Culinary Institute in St. Helena, California and via the Master Sommelier Program through Doug Frost, M.S. and the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Program in New York City, obtaining the Higher Certificate for the Master of Wine. It has been my personal mission to bring new and exciting wines and flavor profiles to the USA that offer great quality and value to the consumer.  Thanks to you, our customers and our partners, we have been successful. Our 9,000 square feet of temperature-controlled storage maintains our wines at the optimal temperature and humidity so that you can be assured of its quality.
